Understanding Our Insurance Process
At Kerrigan Roofing and Restoration we are well versed in matters of insurance. Particularly in regards to storm damage, your roof or other parts of your home or business can require repair — often at a fairly high price tag. We help you communicate with your insurance company and provide assistance in getting you the compensation you deserve. Let’s take a look at our insurance process when it comes to roof repair Cincinnati OH:
Step 1: Schedule an Inspection
When you schedule a wind/hail inspection, one of our Project Managers will inspect your property and let you know what they found as part of routine roof repair in Columbus Ohio.
Step 2: File the Claim
Let the insurance company know that a qualified contractor has examined your property and found hail or wind damage. Inform your insurance company of the date of loss and get a claim number. Contact your Kerrigan Roofing representative and give them your insurance claim number so he or she can contact the insurance adjuster to schedule an inspection as part of this roof repair in Cincinnati OH.
Step 3: Insurance Adjustment
We will assist the adjuster in identifying all storm related damage, and make sure all code requirements and damages have been addressed throughout the inspection.
Step 4: Follow Up
The adjuster will submit a report to the insurance company, which will create a loss summary report outlining the scope of damage they will pay for.
Step 5: Negotiating With the Insurance Company
To make sure the agreed scope of damage is accurate, your Kerrigan Roofing representative will review the loss summary report with your adjuster and come up with a mutually agreeable price for the repairs. You get to select the materials and colors to be used.
Step 6: Starting the Project
Upon delivery of materials, contact your Kerrigan Roofing Project Manager, who will confirm that the proper materials have been delivered. The manager will also collect the first insurance payment and will arrange to have your project begin within a couple days of material arrival.
Step 7: Final Payment
We only collect a final payment after the project has been completed to your satisfaction. We will then let the insurance and mortgage company know to release the remaining funds. You only have to pay for the deductible and any additions or upgrades not covered by the insurance company. Warranties are delivered upon receipt of full payment.
When a storm strikes and your roof is damaged, Kerrigan Roofing and Restoration is ready to serve as your partner and advocate when it comes to roof repair in Columbus Ohio.
